I continue to this day to be in contact with former members.
You are all welcome to view my Facebook page, & click on my unit's name to view memories I can still recall day to day actions that my Platoon were involved in. Plus my own personal impressions that was taking place to myself & my platoon. As time has passed I have forgotten some names, but still see their young faces.
I was a mid Non-Commissioned Officer when I arrived in 1965, & had seen action against the North Koreans. Serving two tours in South Korea. Immediately following Vietnam, I again volunteered to return to Korea, where I served as an adviser with KMAAG. My duties brought me again to have to engage another North Korean unit that had invaded South Korea in 1968.
I continued to serve & later was assigned to Europe, with the 3rd Infantry Division.
Once more I got another opportunity to serve with an Ally, under NATO, with the 1st Canadian Air Group, as Air Liaison Officer, briefing Canadian Pilots,& flying against the Soviets, along the Iron Curtain. My final assignments were with a Special Operations unit in America. Then choosing to be assigned to Fort Lewis with the 9th Infantry Division, & then retiring from the services. From day one I was a volunteer, because I felt the importance of serviced to one's country. I have great satisfaction that all that served with me recognized I always remained compassionate to all that served with me, although Mission was the priority. My skills & knowledge allowed me to make the best decisions & the ability to rain down terror upon our enemies. Commands always knew my name when a Mission was required. Plus I had the most unbelievable military wife that did her part in the military community. She too receiving great praise from the Commands where we served. God Bless America & her Combat Veterans.
